Writing Workshop with Holli Harms-Adults & Teens
Ever wanted to write? Well now is the time. This is not about writing the great American novel nor the best memoir this is about the slow beautiful process of finding who you are, of telling stories. This is an easy step-by-step way to writing. No pressure. You show up. I show up. And together we write. I will bring prompts; lists, sentences for you to launch from. Together we will find our stories, our truth, our lies. No right or wrong. No good or bad. There’ll be no critiques. I will give you the list of prompts and from there you will each choose one to write from or maybe combining two or more. When we are done we will read out loud what we have written, listen, and reflect words we have heard back into the room. We will not comment on the writing we will simply reflect the words that we remember. A safe place to write and find out more about yourself. Each session will run for three hours. There are 10 slots and it is open to teens and adults. And no electronics bring pen and paper i.e. notebook, journal. There is a difference when you write pen to paper, I believe more is revealed. We will meet for 6 sessions on Saturdays starting June 29th to August 3rd. 11am – 2pm. Best part it is FREE. Registration is required. Holli Harms is a New York City award winning playwright & screenwriter.
